Steph has had a love of hairdressing from a young age, which is'nt  surprising considering she has come from 4 generations of hairdressers.  She is our hair straightening specialist and has a strong flare for texture cutting and creative funky colouring.

Last year Steph was part of 8 senior stylists from around the country to complete (with honours) , a L'Oreal colour diploma.  This was the first time this year long course has been run in New Zealand, and involved an indepth look into the science of hair and hair colour.

Steph's knowledge and passion for her craft is evident in the beautiful work that she presents.

 Spring/Summer Trends Prediction

There is little point in wearing clothes from the new season fasion trends unless you have one major element just right - THE HAIR!!!!    Hair generally takes a bit of a thrashing in the summer time, although if thats the only downside to summer then bring it on!!  There is always U.V protective hair products to solve that.

This summer we are looking towards more pastel shades of blues, purples and pinks mixed in with softer blonde's to suit your skin tone and style.  Runway predictions are showing soft waves more volume and texture.

Speaking of volume there has been lots of 80's styles in the clothing racks lately, from MC Hammer pants to bright spashes of colour.  Who could miss those not so flattering bubblegum jeans! Rainbow - splashes of colour blended through with beautiful rich darker shades is a fab look this summer, merging easily with the floral prints that the summer time is going to bring us.

The shorter pixie crop cut that last summer brought in is still a great look, but with softer more feminine edges.  Add a cute fringe to finish it off, whether it is asymmetric or short and choppy its so hot right now!!  Fringes are a great way to give yourself a new look, and by adding a dash of colour to just the fringe whether it be bright or suble is a great way to feel different and funky but with only 1 or 2 pieces of colour in the hair.  Applying a global clear gloss will also add shine and condition to the mix.

Anyway making a style your own is a great way to start your summer, so bring on beautiful new styles along with the beaches and cold beer!!!!
